Royal rally again

For the second time in two days, Georgetown's baseball team — fueld by Andrew Sinkewicz — rallied in the seventh inning for a big victory, this time 6-5 over North Reading to take a half-game lead in the Cape Ann League small division. Sinkewicz had a three-run walkoff homer in the bottom of the seventh — his second homer in two days and sixth of the year — to provide the winning margin. Freshman Ryan Browner was sensational in relief, with 1 2/3 hitless innings to pick up the win.

Browner still perfect

Freshman Ryan Browner improved to 4-0 while limiting Hamilton-Wenham to four runs (one earned) and striking out six over six innings of work in Georgetown's 16-5 victory. Anthony Conte, Danyer Fabian and Dan Noelk all drove in two for the Royals.

Georgetown 16, Hamilton-Wenham 5

In what was an ugly defensively game on both sides, Georgetown broke out of its mini slump and pounded Hamilton-Wenham to end the Royals three-game losing streak.

Ryan Browner (6 innings pitched, 4 runs, 1 earned run, 6 strike outs, 1 walk) stayed undefeated on the mound to move to 4-0 for the Royals. Anthony Conte had a big day at the plate going 3 for 4 with two doubles, three runs scored, and two RBIs. Dan Noelk (2 for 3, 2 RBIs) and Mike Ruh (2 hits) also played well for Georgetown.

Georgetown romps on the "road"

Georgetown destroyed Triton 18-1 in a road game that was played at Georgetown due to an unplayable field at Triton. The Royals exploded for seven first inning runs and never looked back. Joe Esposito had a tremendous game with a double, triple, and grand slam. Anthony Conte held Triton to eight hits over seven solid innings of work.
