ANDOVER — Despite the outcome, last Friday’s win left a sour taste in the mouth of Andover defensive lineman Lyle Baker that lingered heading into last night.

“Last week felt horrible,” said Baker, whose defense allowed 32 points to Tewksbury. “It felt like a loss. We came out in the second half and were just flat. This week, we wanted to keep going and put our foot on them. We wanted to finish off the victory.”

ANDOVER — The start was perfect for Andover. But then the trouble started.

Pat Farnham took the game’s opened kickoff and ran it back 95 yards for a touchdown, but Gloucester responded by scoring on four of its next five possessions and went on to down the Golden Warriors 38-13 last night in a game played on Thursday due to the Yom Kippur holiday.

“We had to get a few bugs out,” said senior quad-captain Brian Miller. “We were a little tense at the start, but after that we really put it together.”
