Jaymie Spears had a huge second half against Amesbury, scoring 21 of his 27 points after the break as the Royals knocked off the Indians, 74-48. Joe Esposito (12 points) and Mike Messman (14 points) also contributed with stellar efforts for the Royals, whose press was too much for Amesbury.

The Royals closed out the first half with an 18-14 lead, but Cathedral dropped a ridiculous 40 points in the second half to pull away. Go-to-guy Jaymie Spears (nine points on 2-for-19 shooting) had a buzzer-beating field goal attempt clank off the front of the rim to end the game. Georgetown struggled mightily from the free-throw line (16 of 31), and also missed seven easy layups.
