1.Gloucester (9-1-1): A painful loss, their first of the season, to Peabody at home notwithstanding, the Fishermen have had a week off to lick their wounds and should come out with fire in their eyes with their arch rivals from Danvers visit The Tank Saturday night.
Last week: 1

2.St. John's Prep (5-4-3): A disappointing tie with Malden Catholic, followed by a shutout loss at Xaverian, have the Eagles in a bit of a rut. It doesn't get any easier with B.C. High and Catholic Memorial as the next two games on their schedule.
Last week: 2

3.Central Catholic (6-3-4): Justin Kurek's goal with 32 seconds left in regulation gave the Raiders a stunning 2-2 tie with the state's premier power and the No. 1-ranked team in Eastern Mass., Catholic Memorial. That was two days after they tied Andover, on a Mark Brien goal with 38 seconds left.
Last week: 4

4.Peabody (9-3-0): Tanners showcased their pure speed, talent and killer instinct in a 7-1 romp at previously unbeaten Gloucester. Now, it's a matter of harnessing that fury for three full periods every time they take the ice.
Last week: 6

5.Andover (9-2-2): In their first Division 1 matchup, the Golden Warriors had Central Catholic on the ropes before settling for a tie. They followed that up by tying CAL power Lynnfield and crushing Wakefield (4-0).
Last week: 3

6.Salem, N.H. (10-3): The Blue Devils easily rebounded from their first loss in a month by demolishing Manchester Memorial 5-0 thanks to three points by Ryan Desroches.
Last week: 7

7.Timberlane (10-3): The Owls are streaking behind the breakout play of sophomore Zach Fox. The forward scored a hat trick in a win over Bow, then two goals in their win over Alvirne. He had only four goals on the season before that point.
Last week: 9

8.Danvers (6-3-2): Great win over Peabody was followed by a disappointing home loss to Saugus. Consistency continues to impede the Falcons' attempts at moving up the Northeastern Conference standings.
Last week: 5

9.Newburyport (6-4-1): Clippers can make a real statement Saturday when they travel to the McVann-O'Keefe Rink in Peabody, hoping to sweep their season series from powerful Lynnfield.
Last week: 8

10.Swampscott (7-4-3): A curious poor showing against Bishop Fenwick notwithstanding, the Big Blue scored a big win two nights earlier over Revere and now stand just three points shy of their first postseason berth since 1997.
Last week: 10

11.Masconomet (7-5-0): Without a true attention grabber in the lineup, the Chieftains have quietly begun piling up the points, winning five of their last seven games with balanced scoring and a team-wide commitment to defense.
Last week: unranked

12.Bishop Fenwick (6-3-1): Back-to-back wins have the Crusaders back on track. A tightening of their play defensively to match their high octane offense will only benefit them over the second half of the regular season.
Last week: unranked

Honorable Mention: North Andover (7-5-0)

Dropped out of poll: Beverly (was ranked 11th), Triton (was ranked 12th)
