1.St. John's Prep (5-2-1): Huge win on the road against previously undefeated (and defending Super 8 state champion) B.C. High was a huge confidence boost for Eagles as they head into Catholic Memorial this Saturday.
Last week: 1

2.Gloucester (8-0-1): Speed, smarts and scoring have the Fishermen on an eight-game winning streak and atop the Northeastern Conference Large standings. Could a second trip to the Garden in three years be coming down the road?
Last week: 2

3.Salem, N.H. (8-2-0): The Blue Devils continue to roll, winning their last six games by a combined 26-5. Robbie Liberatore had two shutouts and Josh Frahm has nine goals over that period.
Last week: 3

4.Peabody (7-2-0): Four straight victories and six wins in their last seven contests have the high-flying Tanners playing the way many expected them to this season.
Last week: 6

5.Andover (5-2-0): George Flanagan's goal with less than four minutes to play put the Golden Warriors back in the win column with a recent 2-1 triumph over Billerica. Only one of their losses has come within league play.
Last week: 7

6.Central Catholic (4-3-2): A good win over Arlington Catholic was followed by a disappointing tie with Newburyport. Tim Houston finally broke out of his scoring rout with a goal and three helpers.
Last week: 4

7.Danvers (4-2-2): Falcons moved up two spots in the poll despite being in the midst of a stretch of 11 days without a game. The next one is a biggie, though: a road date with the Tanners of Peabody.
Last week: 9

8.Triton (5-2-2): Vikings would be ranked much higher if not for an ugly 5-1 loss to Wilmington last weekend, but ties at North Reading and Lynnfield and a home victory over Masco keep them in the poll.
Last week: 8

9.Timberlane (7-3-0): The Owls keep surging, feasting on lesser teams such as Kingswood before blowing out Keene, 4-0, behind Ryan Rothwell's first shutout of the season.
Last week: 10

10.Beverly (5-3-1): Back-to-back losses -- an ugly 5-0 shutout at Saugus and a 5-2 setback vs. Gloucester -- have the Panthers in need of a spark to get things turned around.
Last week: 5

11.Bishop Fenwick (4-1-1): Don't hate on the Crusaders because of the schedule they play; an average of six goals scored per game is impressive no matter who you're playing.
Last week: 12

12.Swampscott (4-3-3): Four wins and a tie in their last half-dozen games have the Big Blue back on track after a slow start to the season. They now need nine points in their final 10 games to secure a playoff spot for the first time since 1997.
Last week: unranked

Honorable mention: North Andover (6-4-0), Masconomet (5-4-0), Newburyport (3-3-1)

Dropped out of poll: North Reading (was ranked 11th)
