Things never got rolling for Whittier.

The Wildcats, ranked fifth in the Division 3 North sectional, bowed out to No. 8 Notre Dame in the semifinals 25-15, 25-11, 25-19. Notre Dame, which finished the season wth a sub-.500 record (10-11) has made an impressive run to the sectional final. knocking off 20-1 Pope John in its previous match.
