Greater Lawrence used a five-run second inning highlighted by a hard-hit two-run single to left by Jonathan Amparo to cruise to a 9-1 win over Notre Dame. In his second appearance on the mound this season, Omar Abreu pitched six innings of one-hit ball with 12 strikeouts. 

Whittier softball's pitching had its way with Notre Dame, striking out 11 batters in five innings in a 13-0 win. Alyssa Wilson struck out five batters in two innings while also going 2 for 2 with a run and RBI at the plate, and Nicole Verrette struck out six in three innings.

It was a career day for Shakira Henriquez. The junior co-captain scored 19 points to lead Presentation of Mary to a 48-18 win over Notre Dame of Lawrence in the consolation game of the Reggie Winter Classic. She also made the All-Tournament team.

Both the Greater Lawrence boys and girls cross country teams had 15-50 sweeps over Notre Dame. Omar Abrue led the boys (5-0) with a time of 18:12, and Suheiry Pereyra led the girls (4-2) with a time of 22:19. 

Methuen High freshman Ava Facella got her first varsity individual win, capturing the 200 IM in 2:47.44, to help Methuen-Tewksbury top Notre Dame-Tyngsboro 99-84. She  also was part of the winning 200 medley relay team.

Arianna Cruz (3 hits, 3 runs, 4 RBI) and Olivia Michaud (4 hits, 2 runs, 2 RBI) powered Greater Lawrence to a 16-2 win over Notre Dame of Lawrence in 4.5 innings.

Brianna Hernandez scored 12 points and Shanely Henriquez added nine as Greater Lawrence held off Notre Dame Cristo Rey and its standout Genesis Rosario (game-high 17 points). The Reggies prevailed 39-30.

Playing without starting point guard Anthony Eldridge, who dislocated his shoulder Tuesday, North Reading's boys remained unbeaten (13-0) with a 69-30 romp over Notre Dame of Lawrence. Adam Goldstein led the way with 16 points.

Junior Camille Holleran had 9 points and 11 rebounds to pace a balanced attack as the Presentation of Mary girls whipped Notre Dame Academy 48-30.
