Jessica Driscoll scored with eight minutes left on assists from Ryan Quin and Tori Schiller to lift Methuen/Tewksbury past Reading 3-2 in a Division 1 preliminary game. Caroline Curley also scored and Brena Greene opened the scoring in the first period and also played a strong defensive game.

Greater Lawrence only won one of three meets in a quad at Wakefield but Christian Hernandez, Michael Savastano and Malib Pastrana were all 3-0 on the day and Savastano and Pastrana won two of their matches up a weight class. 

Darsie Peterson and Jordan Torres scored five goals apiece as Andover whipped Reading 20-6 for its second straight girls lacrosse victory.

Unbeaten Central Catholic heavyweight Carlos Cabrera and Lawrence's Stanley Alberto will square off Saturday morning in the All-State wrestling semifinals at Reading.

Despite only getting 10 shots on goal, the Andover girls hockey team got two goals from Emily Wagner and another from Allie Wright to upset Reading (16-3-1), the No. 4 team in Eastern Mass Division 1, 3-2. Sean D'Urso made 20 saves for the Warriors (8-10-2), who finished their season with a statement win. 

Short-handed Greater Lawrence lost three close meets in a quad-meet with Shawsheen, Reading and Wakefield but Christian hernandez (160), David White (170) and Malib Pastrana (182) wwere all 3-0 as was heavyweight Tyler MacDonald.
