After trailing for much of a rainy afternoon, Haverhill got a two-run homer from J.T. Ruth in the top of the seventh inning to draw even with Whittier, then had Zach Evans follow with a single that brought home pinch runner Matt McIntosh with the game-winner in a 4-3 victory. George Gouthier and Paul Mahoney had the key hits in Whittier's three-run second inning.

Taylor Miller threw a two-hits shutut as Whittier blanked Greater Lowell 5-0. Adriana Joe led the offense with two hits, with two RBIs and a run scored.

Freshman Patrick Rodden made a stunning 26 saves as Whittier downed Lynn Tech 7-2.
