Freshman Brett Johnson fired a two-hitter as Haverhill romped past PMA 16-1. Haley DeRoche had a huge day with two doubles a homer and five RBIs and Caitlyn McHugh added four hits, four runs and four RBIs.

Alyssa Melendez hit a grand slam in the first inning as Greater Lawrence scored eight runs on its way to a 20-4 rout of PMA. Kiana Rodriguez also had a homer and Heather Boutin had two triples among the Reggies' 21 hits.

Presentation of Mary repelled Greater Lawrence's last-second shot to win its sixth straight, 50-49.

Taryn Capozzi (10 points) scored off an inbounds play with a minute left to give PMA the lead, then Amari Spears (team-high 14 points) rejected a Reggies shot to preserve the victory.

Notre Dame downed PMA 54-22.

In PMA's 58-41 loss to Notre Dame, senior Elizabeth Farah was 4 for 6 from the floor including a 3-pointer for 9 points while freshman Amari Spears hauled down 14 rebounds.

Rosalyn Pagan, at just 5-foot-5, grabbed a whopping 15 rebounds to go with her game-high 15 points as PMA topped Essex Aggie 50-25.

Presentation of Mary's volleyball team ran into powerhouse Lynnfield in yesterday's Division 3 quarterfinals and was no match, falling hard in three straight games.

Catherine Muldoon served 10 straight pionts wtih five aces in th final set as Presentation of Mary held off Fellowship Christian is a 3-2 decision, in the first round of the Division 3 North tourey.  The Panthers move on to play No. 1 Lynnfield on Monday (7 p.m.).

PMA's Sophia Bachman was "like Edward Scissorhands in the net," according to her coach, Kristin Huberdeau, as she turned aside 18 shots in an acrobatic effort as part of a scoreless tie with Minuteman.

 The St. John's Prep golf team defeated Catholic Memorial 225-246 to wind up the Catholic Conference season as co-champion with BC High. Nick Pandelena of Atkinson, N.H., shot a 36 for the Easgles.
