Andover's girls skiers completed an unbeaten regular season (10-0) with a 90-45 victory over Masconomet. Jess Kearns, Julia Ganley, Kerry Christopher and Nicole Ericson finished second through fifth overall for the Warriors. They'll be the favorite in next Tuesday's Interscholastic Meet at Bradford.

North Andover's wrestling team tuned up for Saturday's Division 2 sectional with a 49-21 rout of Masconomet, which won the Cape Ann League Open last Saturday when the Knights (17-2) opted for the Methuen Tournament. John Pollard had a key 6-4 decision at 195 for the Knights. Zane Melillo returned from sickness to record a 47-second pin at 132.

Alex Moore (13 points) hit a driving layup and a huge 3 to give the Sachems the lead, and Coley Viselli (16 points) sank three free throws down the stretch to preserve the victory.

Not to be lost in the euphoria of Varney's win was an exciting second-place finish from Kyle Quinn, who made a furious dash at the end.

Courtney Green threw 34-9, Katie McManus 32-5 1/2 and Alexa Layne 27-1. Julia Mehlman had an impressive dash/high jump double, Kathryn McFadden had a personal best to win the hurdles and Eleni Coufos captured the 600. It was the Knights' third title in four years.
